Central Disabled Alarm and Voice

Central Disabled Toilet Alarm (DTA)  and Emergency Voice Call (EVC) systems provides a simple solution to integrating DTA within an emergency voice call system, providing a single display point for all disabled calls within a building. It can be used on a dedicated line, or may share a line with the disabled call outstation. DTA is connected to a Master Control panel to the plates and cables are fully end of line monitored and battery backed as standard. Systems are complying with the demand for BS 5839 Part 9 compliant disabled refuge call with ADA/BS8300 Disabled system acts.

The emergency assist alarm call systems within a centralized full duplex voice communication system, providing a single display point for all disabled calls within a building. When a call is made the over-door and cancel units emit a two tone siren with the “Halo” flashing, when the call is acknowledged from the EVCS controller the “Halo” on these units lights steadily and the tone double beeps every 15 seconds to reassure the caller help is on the way. As DTA system is connected to a Master Control panel the plates and cables are fully end of line monitored and battery backed as standard. DTA plates are supplied with a brushed stainless finish and a Blue HALO to aid location.

Master Controllers are bi-directional, full duplex voice communication system to assist during emergencies in high rise buildings or large sites where radio communication cannot be guaranteed to work due to interference from the fire corona. Master Controllers can accept up to eight lines of outstation, (Type A fixed phones, Type B refuge hands free points, emergency assist alarm point or jack points) as required. The touch-screen layout has four buttons allowing quick access to the main functions, and permanently displaying the number of current calls, alarms and faults.

The stainless steel hands-free type B outstation as defined in BS5839-9:2011, and is designed to be used by the public as a disabled refuge call point.Hands-free outstation is not supplied with a back- box as it can be used with any “MK” style double back-box over 25mm deep. Once the outstation is mounted the supplied sign should be placed adjacent to the outstation to give instructions and identify the point. Excellent speech pickup from microphone due to internal AGC.

'Type A' telephone-style outstations are used in emergency evacuation applications. Comprising a telephone handset in a push-to-open or lockable steel cabinet, they are typically located at entrances and fire-fighting lobbies to allow communicate with building control during an emergency. The stainless steel type A outstation as defined in BS5839-9:2011, and is designed to be used by the public as a disabled refuge call point. The outstation is supplied in a brushed stainless finish with a high contrast red screen print with a rugged red telephone handset behind the push door.
