Disabled Refuge Call System
Disabled refuge Emergency call or voice System is designed to meet the demand for BS 5839 Part 9 compliant disabled refuge, fire telephone and centralized Disabled Toilet Alarm systems. Current Building Regulations insist all new non-domestic buildings with more than one storey provide 'refuge' areas – safe places where people who cannot easily use fire escapes and evacuation lifts can call for assistance and wait until help arrives. Latest effective two-way communication in these areas to assist rescue teams in determining where assistance is required and to reassure people help is on the way. Easily interfaced to Disabled toilet alarms, PDA hearing loop systems, strobes, CCTV activation relays, etc., Master panels of 4, 8, and 16 lines can be networked up-to 224 out stations supports approx. 1000-meters distance with True full duplex speech communication.
Our Refuge master controllers starts from 4 to 224 line 'Compact' system comprises two wall-mounting master controllers (the ECU-4 , ECU-8 and ECU-16 which can handle 4, 8 and 16 lines) and an eight-line expansion unit (the ECU-8S). Typically located in a building's control room or fire services access point, the ECU-4, ECU-8 and ECU-16 allow emergency personnel to communicate via a telephone-style handset with the system's 'outstations' with true full duplex speech communication.
Can be connected to an ECU-4, ECU-8 or ECU-16 master controller to increase its line capacity to 8 or 16 lines respectively. Does not require a separate mains supply or batteries. Can be semi-flush mounted using an AFP385 bezel. Easily interfaced to accessible toilet alarms, PDA audio-frequency induction loop systems, strobes, CCTV activation relays, etc
'Type B' intercom style outstations offer true hands-free duplex speech to allow anyone in a refuge area to communicate with building control at the touch of a button. Attractively finished in green steel or stainless steel, they includes connections for an optional induction loop system and a general-purpose relay output that closes on activation of the unit. Flush, surface and weatherproof versions are available. Connect to central control equipment using two cores of 1.5mm sq. enhanced fire rated cable can be supports up-to 1000 meters distance.
'Type A' telephone-style outstations are used in emergency evacuation applications.
